EMILY DAVIS
Studio Principal
My dance journey began at the age of 5 where I trained under the direction of Michelle Briggs for the next 20 years. In that time, I poured my whole heart into all things dance; with experience in Jazz/Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Classical Ballet, Acrobatics, Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Vocal and more.
In 2015, I successfully auditioned for a full time dance program at Principal Academy of Dance & Theatre Arts, completing a Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance Major). Throughout my training I learnt from many industry dance professionals and choreographers gaining an extensive background as an all rounder.
I first discovered my love for teaching at 14 years old. I then continued exploring that passion which led me into teaching different styles and age groups within Perth, Bunbury and overseas.
Over the years, I also participated in competitions where I achieved various placings and awards and also completed exams in Classical Ballet (RAD), Jazz, Acrobatics, Drama & Tap.
Drawing from my past experience with injury, I am also a qualified Remedial/Sports Massage Therapist. I am passionate about educating upcoming dancers through safe dance career’s with strength, technique and recovery being an important part of that journey.
I created LDC with the vision of empowering dancers & creating a warm, family inspired community for all LDC students to thrive in. I look forward to having you become a part of that!
